Minor Collision in Tustin Injuries Reported

On Tuesday night at 9:03 PM, a traffic accident took place in front of Rancho Mariposa Apartment Homes in Tustin.
A gray Toyota Prius, traveling northbound on Myford Road, collided with a white Toyota Tacoma. The impact caused the Tacoma to spin around.
Both vehicles sustained minor front-end damage.
Emergency responders reported that the injuries sustained by the occupants of both vehicles were minor. The scene was quickly cleared, and an investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing.
Red Light Violation Leads to Multi-Vehicle Crash

At around 11:30 AM on September 8, 2024 a red Toyota Tacoma pickup truck was involved in a serious collision at the intersection of Jeffery and Alton. The truck ran a red light that had been active for over 35 seconds and struck a grey Tesla traveling through the intersection on a green light.
The impact caused the Tacoma to flip onto its side, which then led to a secondary collision with a white BMW i4. The BMW was just beginning to enter the intersection on a green light when it was hit by the overturned Tacoma. The left side of the BMW sustained significant damage.
Emergency services responded to the scene to assist those involved. The driver of the BMW, a young male, was checked for injuries. His dash cam footage was provided to the police for further investigation.

City of Tustin Structure Fire Early This Morning

This morning in Steven's Square, the City of Tustin was alerted to a structure fire shortly after midnight. Firefighters arrived to find a two-story commercial building engulfed in flames on the backside.
A swift fire attack was initiated, and due to the fire’s intensity, a second alarm was called. Within 45 minutes, fire crews successfully brought the blaze under control.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported among civilians or firefighters. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

LAPD Pursuit Ends with Arrests After High-Speed Chase

A high-speed pursuit by the Los Angeles Police Department culminated in multiple arrests late Saturday night. At approximately 9 PM, officers were engaged in a chase involving a vehicle with three occupants. The pursuit concluded at the intersection of Figueroa Street and Hoover Street.
The vehicle came to a stop, and three individuals—two Black female passengers and a Black male driver—exited the car. The driver, dressed in a ski mask and all-black clothing, fled the scene on foot. One of the female passengers complied with police orders and was taken into custody without incident.
The LAPD air unit was immediately deployed to assist in locating the remaining suspects. Their efforts proved successful when they identified one of the male suspects hiding in a bush near a gray van adorned with graffiti. The suspect was also apprehended and taken into custody.

At approximately 10:29 PM on Friday, a white Nissan Versa crashed into the Wholesome Choice supermarket located on Culver Drive in Irvine. The collision caused significant damage to the store.

DUi Driver Hits CHP Cruiser | TWO KILLED IN EXTREME TRAFFIC COLLISION

Around 2:13 AM, a significant accident occurred on the northbound I-5 Freeway, just south of Culver Drive. A silver Mercedes-Benz sedan veered off course and crashed into a roadblock that had been set up following an earlier fatal motorcycle accident.
The force of the collision caused the Mercedes to strike a CHP patrol vehicle and a traffic cone. Despite the severity of the impact, the vehicle narrowly avoided hitting the officers and CalTrans workers who were present at the scene, ensuring their safety.
Paramedics promptly arrived and assessed the driver of the Mercedes. The driver chose to forgo medical treatment, and instead, a series of field sobriety tests were administered on-site. Based on the results of these tests, the driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI).
Upon further investigation, authorities discovered several items inside the Mercedes. Among these were potential drug paraphernalia, a child’s car seat, and a backpack. Irvine POLICE Shoot Suspect Holding KNIFE

At about 2:51 PM Thursday afternoon, police responded to the area of Green tree Lane in Royce in regard to a man attacking a woman. Officers rapidly responded to the area, and when they arrived, the man was still attacking the female.
Officers believe that the female was being attacked with a knife. An officer-involved shooting did occur.
Both the suspect and his victim passed away at the scene. Early investigation and reports from witnesses indicate that the suspect was the adult son of the victim. Police are committed to this investigation, and will be on scene through the evening.

Driver Busted for dui
Tustin, CA • August 7, 2024
At approximately 3:23 AM on Wednesday, a vehicle traveling southbound on Jamboree in Tustin exhibited erratic behavior, including swerving and stopping at green lights.
Law enforcement was dispatched to the scene, and the vehicle, after initially failing to yield, eventually stopped on Robinson Drive.
The driver was removed from the vehicle and detained for field sobriety testing.
The driver was later arrested on DUI charges.
Driver Injured After Crashing Into Restaurant
Tustin, CA • July 23, 2024
Around 9:11 PM, a white MINI Cooper lost control and crashed into Peter’s Gourmade Burgers on Newport Avenue. When authorities arrived, they found the car embedded inside the restaurant, causing significant damage.
The driver, a man, was found on the ground nearby. Medics treated him on the scene before taking him to OC Global Medical Center. His condition is not yet known.
The crash left the restaurant in chaos. Firefighters had to stabilize the building before removing the MINI Cooper. Fortunately, no other injuries were reported, and the restaurant had been closed for over an hour before the crash. The cause of the accident is still under investigation, but speed may have been a factor.
